Choosing modified thin-set, mud and grout when installing stone has a proven track record of limiting efflorescence.

As an installation principle, Afamia Stone recommends that all concrete blocks or poured concrete should be waterproofed with cementitious mix or rubber coating to cut off any path for efflorescence.
